Rescue Me ID: 17-05-25-00217Duffy (male)

Australian Shepherd Mix    Age: Puppy

Welcome to Idaho, Duffy! We're so happy to meet you. Duffy is an approximately 9 month old male puppy, who also happens to be fully deaf. He was transferred to us from Utah, where he had previously lived with a foster/trainer who works with a shelter there. Duffy is fully vetted and ready for his forever home. Read on for more information from his former foster dad: 'Here's just some key observations I made during my time with Duffy that will hopefully allow for a smooth transition into a rescue center/forever home. Duffy is fully housebroken...if he's let out to relieve himself. He likes to be watched when he does his business so he knows ... (Read More)he's safe. We have been working on crate training as well, and he loves the comfort of his crate at night (I leave it open but he still chooses to sleep in it where he has his own space). I leave him free to roam the house during the day and he has not had any accidents in recent weeks. His powerful nose has led him into the garbage on more than one occasion, but a stern hand signal has showed him right from wrong. We have been hiking and going to the dog park almost every day, he is great off-leash and would rather find himself next to you than minding the other dogs. Duffy highly enjoys the company of other dogs, and I would recommend going into a home that has dogs -- he is very anxious when left alone and tends to become destructive. I have found that Duffy absolutely loves children and kids. Also, please be CAUTIOUS: Duffy loves to chase moving cars and will not hesitate to run into the road. I've found it quite difficult to take him on leash walks through the neighborhood. In the right environment -- dog park, hiking trail, open field -- he is completely fine on/off leash. We have been training hand signals and Duffy is responding well to the positive reinforcement. A simple thumbs up is *good boy* and a strong pointing index finger is *no - bad dog* A finger pointing to your nose is a command I like to call *Look at me* When I was training my first deaf dog, this was fundamental in ensuring her safety and allowing her to be off leash. When this is trained, the dog will respond by stopping everything they're doing and making eye contact with you to receive further instruction. After consistent training, it will become habit for the dog to always check in and make eye contact. P.S. Duffy loves to snuggle.' Duffy was previously surrendered to that shelter several times for not doing well with any small animals or with young children. He likes to herd and would do better in a home with older kids and with dogs his own size. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-05-25-00215Flower (female)

Chihuahua Mix    Age: Puppy

Did someone say 'adorable'? Because that's the word that comes to mind when you meet Flower here. This 1 year old pup is tiny (about 10 lbs), sweet, and perfectly cuddleable. Flower was originally rescued from a shelter in California, and she's now in need of another home. She really loves to be around people and will need someone who can shower her with love and attention. At her young age, though, Flower will also need someone who's ready to PLAY! She has been around other dogs and cats and teenagers and behaved well around all of them. (Yep, even the teenagers. ;) ) Flower can be a little territorial, barking at strangers or door bells, ... (Read More)but that's not a big issue. She will also get car sick, so her new family needs to keep road trips at a strict minimum. Flower is kennel trained but ready to stay right by her person's side. She needs an active, caring family who will help her burn off her energy and let her be the star of the show. She wants all the attention to herself, this one. The more human friends, the better! Flower is in a foster home, so call us at 208-794-0944 if you'd like to schedule a meet-and-greet. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-05-23-00163Dexter (male)

Pit Bull Mix    Age: Young Adult

'Can I tell you a secret? I love you already!!!' Dexter has got to be one of the happiest dogs we've ever had. His little happy feet tap dance the second we walk into his room. He can barely contain his excitement when we approach his kennel, and his beautiful baby eyes look at us as if to say, 'Come here. Can I tell you a secret? I love you already!' Well, Dexter, we love you, too. When Dexter enters the play yard, it's time for zoomies. And zoomies. And more zoomies. He will pause long enough for some back scratches and a full body hug or two, then he's back at play bowing, tap dancing, and zooming his handsome little body all around the ... (Read More)place. You can't see him in action and *not* smile. Actually, you can't even meet him without smiling. We dare you to try. Those happy feet get us every time. At about 3 years of age, Dexter is still a young one who has overcome some of his puppy habits but not others. He will jump up for attention and he certainly has energy to spare. But his sheer exuberance is a personality trait, and we don't see that fading away anytime soon. Dexter arrived from California and is fully vetted and ready for a home now. We have yet to test him with other dogs but we're told that he is not good with cats. Because of his size and energy level, we suspect that he would do better in a home with older kids, so you're welcome to bring the whole family in to meet him. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-05-23-00159Dean (male)

Lab Mix    Age: Young Adult

Dearest Dean has developed quite the Facebook following. Rescuers and dog lovers banded together to save this guy from a shelter in California, and he was moved to a boarding facility to await rescue placement. When we saw pictures and videos of him, we couldn't help but say yes. Dean arrived at MCR last Saturday. We've gotten to know him during his week-long hold, and we can tell you one thing for sure: Dean is a charming fellow. He is a gentleman, through and through, acting polite and friendly once he gets to know you. He's easy to handle and to walk on a leash, and he hasn't shown any fear since he arrived. In other words, he's a very ... (Read More)easy guy to love. We haven't yet tested this 3 year old with kids or other dogs, but you're welcome to bring your family in to meet him. Dean is fully vetted and ready to make a home here in Idaho. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-05-23-00152Madden (male)

German Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Adult

Madden recently arrived from California. For the past week, we have diligently tried to earn his trust but we've made only a little progress. The kennel environment certainly isn't doing him any favors, but we do know that Madden has been fearful for a while now. He will need to be adopted by someone extremely patient and experienced. Madden is approximately 3 years old. He is quite the looker, but he will need someone who can see past his gorgeous body and to the timid, unsure boy inside. He does not like to leave his kennel, as he knows that he's safe there, and so far, when he's out in the play yard, he will wait by the door to go back ... (Read More)inside to his kennel. We are able to coax him into taking a toy and a treat, but he is not yet initiating contact. Because of his fear, we have not yet evaluated him with other dogs. We would not recommend a home with children. Though it's hard to tell what his temperament will really be like once he fully decompresses, we are sure that this scared, timid guy deserves a lifetime of love and happiness. He is hesitant to trust, but whoever wins that loyalty will be very lucky indeed. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-05-23-00146Prince (male)

Pit Bull Mix    Age: Young Adult

This Prince of thieves has stolen our hearts. Here's why: He will frolic and pounce after a toy '| for about 3 seconds. Then he'll go after another toy, bounding like a happy little puppy '| for about 3 more seconds. His attention span may be lacking, but he makes up for it in sheer dorky enthusiasm. He has the most horrendously cropped ears. No dog should have to go through that and we feel terribly that his were done this way. It's absolutely not his fault that somebody did that to him, so it makes us feel for him all the more. He is friendly and loving to every single person he's met so far. This guy would appreciate some scratches ... (Read More)and rubs any moment of the day, and we're happy to oblige. He shares our love of the beautiful Idaho spring sunshine. Prince is about 3 years old and fully vetted. We're told that he's not good with dogs or cats. We have yet to test him with kids. Feel free to come by and visit with him during our adoption hours.     While he may be a senior you wouldn't know it just by looking at him. Marty is a pretty happy-go-lucky kind of guy, who is very content to just hang out. He is house trained and knows basic obedience. He is said to be good with just about everyone (including other dogs, cats, and young children. He is not a fan of fireworks or thunderstorms.

Rescue Me ID: 17-05-09-00084Ruger (male)

Bluetick Coonhound Mix    Age: Senior

A 9 year old retiree, Ruger found himself at another Idaho shelter without a home to spend his golden years. We were more than happy to take him in and begin the search for an adopter. Ruger has lived in a foster home for the past week but he is now available for adoption at the Rescue. Foster mom, Shirley, says, 'Ruger is doing wonderful, he is a gentle pup and gets along well with my dog. You can tell he has been trained, if you call (in most cases) he will come, sometimes his nose is working on a smell. If you tell him no he stops whatever he was doing (like trying to get on the couch), he now knows he doesn't get on the furniture. He has ... (Read More)had a bath and looks and smells great. He sleeps or rests on his blankets, something for his new owners should know, lay them down where you want him to (his space) and that is where he will lay. He has not used the kennel at all since he has been here, I have a blanket at the end of my bed and that is where he sleeps, and he sleeps all night. We did discover he cannot be in a house with a cat, he is a trained coon dog and reacted accordingly, which is too bad because this family friend (we brought him with us because they wanted to see him) fell in love with him. We were there two hours before he noticed the cat on the back of the couch and went after him, it took two of us to get him under control. He was not violent at all, but any small animal in the house would not be safe (hamsters etc).' (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-05-08-00259Hope (female)

Pit Bull Mix    Age: Puppy

Meet Hope. This poor girl has experienced two shelters and one other foster home before coming to MCR. Another rescue reached out for help placing her as they were having a hard time finding a foster or an adopter. One of our brand-new fosters stepped in and agreed to take Hope home. Hope is 1-2 years old. The previous rescue sent us the following information: 'She's great with other dogs and kids, usually needs a little time to warm up to strangers. She's timid still when she thinks she's in trouble or if she feels trapped, but as long as you're patient with her and don't yell she does fine. She LOVES affection and attention!!!! Leash ... (Read More)trained, can sit, lay down, and stay. Will wait to eat until given the 'yes' command. She knows what 'off' means and will coming running from wherever she is if you whistle. Stays off the bed as long as she has her own bed lol HUGE sweetheart just needs love and patience.' Hope is currently in foster with MCR volunteer Mitch, who says 'Hope is a very sweet girl, lots of energy and the biggest cuddle bug. She's been working on her people skills but still is kind of shy and takes time to adjust, and gets very nervous with lots of new people at once. She is the perfect companion for a walk or some exploring and is totally confident on the leash. She does well in her kennel while your away but wants to love on you the moment you come home. She is house trained but needs a reminder and encouragement to go outside when she first comes into the home. She has done well with the other dogs she's met but is still shy and doesn't play with them. But she's not aggressive at all either. Not sure how she would do with small kids but I suspect once she knew them she would be all cuddles and kisses.' If you're interested in meeting Hope, please call the Rescue at 208-794-0944. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-04-17-00298Azula (female)

Pit Bull Mix    Age: Adult

Meet Azula. This beautiful lady has lived a lot of life in her 5-6 short years. We decided to take her in when we found out her story. Here it is: 'Azula has been in and out of our shelter many times in the past years. Sadly her owner was not very responsible and she lived in a drug house and her owner was shot and killed in a drug deal about a month ago. We're guessing Azula has been through a lot. Azula has been with another dog at our shelter and did ok but did show some resource guarding, we think with her strength and past, she might do best being an only dog but that could possible change with the right dog. She is a beautiful, strong ... (Read More)girl, seems to like the company of people and the staff at the shelter she is coming from would always bring her into the office to visit with everyone. She gets really into playing with her toys and LOVES to chew on bones. She enjoys walks but needs a strong hand. Azula is house trained, we believe her to be approximately 5 years old.' When she arrived, we figured a serious play session was in order. Azula immediately went through every single toy in our play area, romping and rolling around, and happily chewing the squeakers out of the biggest toys in the bin. A few stuffed toys may or may not have been destroyed, but who cares? We'd say she deserves to be carefree and playful for a while. Don't you agree? (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-04-17-00261Duke (male)

Pit Bull Mix    Age: Puppy

Our newest stud muffin, Duke, arrived from Kansas. This guy is energetic, strong, and super friendly to people. He has the softest coat you've ever felt and he's ready for a full body hug when you are. Duke is about 1 year old. Here's what we know: 'Duke came in as a stray but his owner did not reclaim him (they only owned for a month), he has jumped up on his daughter and scratched her arm so they didn't want him back. Duke is a pretty easy going boy, his favorite things to do are to play with toys, roll around in the grass and sit around. Although he enjoys being pet, he's not a needy dog and seems to do fine just hanging out. Duke has ... (Read More)shown a prey drive for other pets, especially small ones in that he'll crouch down low when he sees them come then jump up and bark. We don't believe he is dog friendly but have never really tried him with other dogs. I believe he is house trained but am not positive. Duke is a beautiful, healthy, strong dog, he enjoys walks but should have a gentle lead or some way to keep him from pulling as he is strong. He'd do best in a home with a fenced yard to keep him and other dogs safe.' Stop by the Rescue if you're interested in meeting Duke. We'd love to introduce you! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-04-17-00121Jennie (female)

Chihuahua Mix    Age: Adult

And here is our sweet girl, Jennie. This wallflower just arrived from Arizona where she just went through major dental surgery. Jennie only has one tooth left and had a full dental performed on April 4th (with two fistulas repaired), so she needs to only eat soft food for a while. Jennie is about 7 years old and about 8 lbs. Her rescuer/foster mom, Sue, reports, 'Jennie was an unclaimed stray from the Maricopa Animal Care and Control Shelter in Phoenix. Jennie is 8 pounds of love. She gives kisses and just loves to lounge on the couch watching tv. She doesn't quite know what to make out of her leash and she needs a housebreaking refresher ... (Read More)course. But, she is very smart and learns quickly. She lived with my four small dogs and LOVED them. I would place her with older children since she startles easily and would not like someone who doesn't know how to handle her gently. She will sit quietly in the car, but if given the choice, she would rather stay home.' We're moving Jennie into a foster home, where it's quieter, so please feel free to call us at 208-794-0944 if you'd like to schedule a meet-and-greet. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-04-10-00278Roko (male)

Redbone Coonhound Mix    Age: Puppy

Sometimes, it takes a little extra time and effort to find the right home for our dogs. This is Roko, and he was adopted by the most amazing family. They've worked with him for a while now, but we've all come to the realization that Roko is better suited to a home without small children. And that's OK. We're sure his people are out there somewhere. Roko's family is fostering him for the time being. Here's what Nichole has to say: 'Meet Roko, a 1.5-year-old male Redbone Coonhound available for adoption through Meridian Canine Rescue. We are fostering him until he finds his forever family. Although we had hoped to adopt him ourselves, we have ... (Read More)determined that it would be best for him to be in a home without children under the age of 12. I have gotten to know Roko over the past month and he is a beautiful, sweet boy. My husband and I have taken him to work with us every day and he is content laying in his crate, watching people pass by his office window, rarely ever barking at them. In order to be content in his crate, he does require consistent exercise every day. I've been riding a Razor scooter to keep up with him on our morning walks! We typically finish the day with another walk that focuses on obedience training. He's starting to get the hang of it! This guy loves food and will literally jump through hoops to get it. Food puzzles, toys that make a strategy game out of eating treats, keep him busy in the afternoons. His incredible, well-bred nose can sniff out anything! True to being a hound dog, he does bay when he is anxious or if he sees a small animal he'd like to chase up a tree, but he is typically pretty quiet indoors. A structured environment that includes crate time in conjunction with recreational activities would suit him best. I'd imagine he'd get bored and start to howl if he was in a backyard all day. He's approximately 60 pounds of lean muscle and incredibly powerful. Our two boys, ages 5 and 7, absolutely love to be with him, but now that Roko has playfully knocked them over a few times, he's figured out that he is stronger than they are and has recently started to test his dominance over them around the house. Because of this, I believe that it would be best if he was in a family where he is physically, the smallest member of the household. I think he can overcome this once he gets adjusted to his new environment, with proper training. His adoption fee is $300. He's already neutered, microchipped and vaccinated! Please share this with any of your friends who may be interested in this specialized breed of dog. He deserves to be in a home that has an appreciation for his natural hunting instincts. Redbone Coonhounds are rare in Idaho; if fact, Roko actually came from Texas! Once he is adopted, I'd like to offer his new family a session with professional dog trainer, Teri, from Pooch Pros. She knows a lot about Roko and his temperament, and is looking forward to helping him transition to his new family. If you are interested in adopting him, call Meridian Canine Rescue: (208) 794-0944.' (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-04-10-00224Tigger (male)

Chihuahua Mix    Age: Puppy

Tigger joined us on our last Wings of Rescue transport. He was flown in, along with his buddies Roo and Ivan, after we learned that they needed a rescue spot. All three dogs (plus several more) had been living in a home together, so we know that Tigger is great with other dogs. Like his best friend Roo, Tigger is somewhat timid. When meeting new people, he can take a minute to warm up. However, he's quick to gain confidence and show you affection once he learns that you're a friend. Tigger makes an excellent lap dog and hops up into your arms whenever he can. Because he's a newer arrival, we haven't had the opportunity yet to conduct ... (Read More)supervised meet-and-greets. We suspect that Tigger is good with older kids, but we're not sure how he feels about younger kids, cats, crates, etc. As we continue to get to know this 1-2 year old, we'll update his profile. Chihuahua Mix    Age: Senior

A 9 year old gentleman, Biscuit joined MCR after being surrendered by a family who could no longer care for him. He is often timid and shy when meeting new people and needs to be adopted by someone who will respect his boundaries and offer him a quiet, calm environment. Biscuit is reportedly good with other dogs, and he previously lived in a home with children. He is both house- and kennel-trained. Since we've had Biscuit, we've found him to be easy to handle and walk, though he does give clear signals when a situation makes him uncomfortable. For that reason, we recommend a mature home.

Rescue Me ID: 17-04-05-00078Cedar (male)

Border Collie Mix    Age: Young Adult

Cedar joined us from Utah. He is a very handsome 2 year old who needed a change of scenery to find his forever home. Microchipped, neutered, vaccinated, and vet checked, this playful, friendly pup is ready for a home. We haven't been able to test him with other dogs or with kids very much yet, but we will continue to update Cedar's bio as we get to know him. Cedar is reactive to other dogs in this environment, which is not uncommon. And when he sees kids while inside of the building, he does not react well. Outside, he's calm and doesn't seem to care too much. We'd be happy to supervise an introduction with your whole family to see how Cedar ... (Read More)gets along with everyone. Because of how easily stressed he becomes here, though, we'd still recommend that he does not go to a home with any small children. Here's the deal with Cedar: he wants a little sugar before he's ready to be your sweetheart. Before touching him, messing with his food bowl, or playing with his toys, he'd like to get to know you. Which is fine. Because once he realizes you're his buddy, then there's no holding back. Cedar gives the world's best full body hugs. He tucks his head right onto your shoulder and will happily stay there forever. OK, yes, he makes it a little hard to work on the computer sometimes, as our newest office dog will paw at your hands to get you to move them away from the keyboard and onto his belly or ears for a scratch. He delights in physical contact -- after he's warmed up to you. Cedar is playful and energetic and would really benefit from an active guardian. We're looking for someone willing to continue the training he's started here (learning not to guard resources, learning to stay calm and to be less reactive in new situations) and to help him burn off some energy. Cedar is very responsive to his handler and is food-motivated. He needs a person to bond to, and he will be your loyal companion for life. We think he's a ladies' man. So, to all the single ladies out there: here's a gorgeous guy looking to sweep you off your feet. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-04-03-00071Bradley (male)

American Staffordshire Terrier Mix    Age: Puppy

This hunky gentleman arrived from Utah last weekend and went straight to the coolest foster home ever. He is 1.5 years old and good with dogs, cats, and kids. Here's what foster dad Carson has to say: 'Bradley is such a cuddle bug! He has such a great young personality, he gets along with other dogs great both big and small. Cats aren't an issue either, he doesn't show any aggression or even much interest. He could use some more training on a leash due to him pulling. He does get very excited when he meets new people or just when you get home, so he does want to jump up. He does give 'love bites' when he gives kisses, so he may nip at you ... (Read More)but doesn't mean to. He'll need some basic training but he is so eager to please. He is kennel and house trained. No issues with crating him but he'd prefer to cuddle next to you at night ;). Bradley will make a great addition to anyone's family.' For now, Bradley will stay in his foster home. Chihuahua Mix    Age: Puppy

Hello, human! Would you like to play with me? Please? Pretty, pretty please? 'Cause I am a PUPPY (just turned 10 whole months), and I want to be your friend. We could have so much fun together. Let's go for a car ride, OK? And then maybe we can go to the park, too. Even the dog park. I love other dogs. Seriously, they make me so happy. Especially when they'll play and wrestle with me. I haven't been around bigger dogs, though. Not sure how I feel about them. They would probably intimidate me. But every time I see a dog my size, I immediately decide that he needs to be my best friend. Right this second. People say I come on a little strong. I ... (Read More)say life's too short not to spend every minute wrestling and romping. I'm a little shy when I meet new people. Unfortunately, my last family didn't give me a lot of time to adjust to them. I warmed right up to the mom -- she was wonderful! But I wasn't so sure about the dad and kids, so after a few days, they brought me back. I thought I'd be bummed, but I kinda liked coming back to see all my friends again. I'm looking for a family that will keep me forever this time. And forever means forever. I will learn to love you all, and if you have other dogs, I think we'll do just fine together. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-02-13-00099Cash (male)

Treeing Walker Coonhound Mix    Age: Puppy

This good-looking guy was recently surrendered by his family after they could no longer provide the type of lifestyle and home environment that he needs. Cash's family provided photographs and notes about him, so we will use that information to start his bio and will continue to update it as we get to know him. Cash is about 1.5 years old and is all Hound. He has a lot to say, and he is very curious and energetic. Cash has really enjoyed playing with friends at doggie day care, but in the home environment, Cash has displayed resource guarding tendencies (over food) with his canine sister. Cash will need a dog savvy adopter who is willing to ... (Read More)continue his training (he's very smart and has already graduated from several classes), to tolerate his louder than life personality, to provide lots of exercise, and to manage his food issues. In return, Cash will give you lots of love, will keep your life exciting at all times, and will be forever grateful to you for rescuing him. *Please contact us for his adoption fee. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-02-06-00143Nala (female)

Chihuahua Mix    Age: Adult

Miss Nala arrived recently from Arizona and has been hanging out in a foster home where it's calm and quiet. She is a timid, shy little girl, who would like nothing more than a peaceful home of her very own. Nala is 6-7 years old, spayed, utd on shots, and microchipped. She does very well with dogs and cats -- in fact, she is currently staying in a foster home with one of our recently adopted dogs, Fitz. Nala is both house and kennel trained as well. Because of her temperament, we're looking for a mature household without any kids, as Nala would prefer to be around adults who would respect her boundaries and move a little more slowly. It was ... (Read More)reported that Nala bit a child, but the records are confusing. She has shown no signs of aggression here. Nala was previously sheltered at a facility in Arizona, and during her stay, she became pregnant. Nala had one fetus about 28 days old when the county shelter spayed her. We know that Nala has been through a lot of upheaval and that explains why she doesn't like to be picked up from the front and why she's reluctant to move out of her safe kennel space when she meets new people. Once Nala decompresses in a home, she is an absolute love and wants to hang out on the couch. If you're interested in meeting Nala, please call the Rescue at 208-794-0944. *Please contact us for her adoption fee. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-02-05-00154Gus (male)

Lab Mix    Age: Senior

Meet Gus, a male Lab-hound mix approximately 12 years old. He's had a bit of a tough life. He was rescued from a shelter a couple of years ago by an elderly couple, but sadly they each passed away in the last two months, leaving him without a family. He is very quiet and gentle, content to sleep on his bed or anywhere that you are. Especially if you are in the kitchen! Gus gets around slowly, with a limp from arthritis in his shoulder and damage to a hip. His back end is a little weak and can slide out from under him. He would do best in a home with a lot of carpeting to give him stable footing, and no stairs. Gus is house-trained, getting ... (Read More)up to find someone to let him outside. No puppy behaviors here- no jumping, barking, chewing or chasing cats! He's looking for a loving home for living out his 'Golden Years', and a family that is willing to take on the extra care of a senior dog. Can you be his special family? We would absolutely love to place Gus in a loving, nurturing home, with a family who can give him the care he needs in this final stage of his life. Please call the Rescue at 208-794-0944 if you're interested in adopting Gus. He will remain in foster care until we can find him a good home. *Please contact us for his adoption fee. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-10-13-00229Gracie (female)

Rhodesian Ridgeback Mix    Age: Puppy

Meet Gracie, the cutest little Rhodesian Ridgeback you could ever meet. She's a 1 year old sweetheart, with lots of love and licks for her family. Gracie is full of energy for a game of catch out in the yard, but when she comes inside she knows how to settle right down, use her 'inside manners,' and chill out at your feet or in her crate. She is friendly with the neighbor dog through the fence, but hasn't been tested with other dogs. Gracie is interested in cats but we're unsure how she would do with one in the house. She loves all people, especially little kids, while still being a good watchdog when someone comes to the door. Gracie walks ... (Read More)well on a leash, not pulling or tugging. She is learning 'come', 'sit' and 'stay'. Due to a weak esophagus, Gracie does best when she can eat smaller meals during the day, with her front paws up on a bench or step-stool. Just look into her soft brown eyes and fall in love!' Gracie is in a foster home; please contact the rescue to arrange a meeting. (Less)
